Pulling a Membership Roster

  1. Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  2. Open the Menu at the top left and choose your unit.
  3. Then click on Member Manager
  4. You can choose All members, just adults, or just youth.
  5. You will see each individual name below.  You can edit that persons profile by first clicking that person and then clicking on the edit profile icon on the top right.  (the one with a pencil)
  6. You can download the roster by clicking the green check mark to select all and the by clicking on the download link on the top right.
  7. You can download an youth roster by age by clicking on the print youth member age report on the top left.
  8. You can print membership card by clicking the icon on the certificate icon on the top left.

Printing Your YPT Certificate

  • If you just completed YPT training, please log-off and start over.
  • Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  • Click on Menu at the top left and then click on My Dashboard
  • Just under the Menu, you will see three lines as a sub menu button.
  • Click the sub-menu button and choose my training.
  • Then click on the YPT tab.
  • Next to YPT status in a small box at the top, you will see a small print icon on the far right to print.

Changing Your Password in My.Scouting.org

  • Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  • Click on Menu at the top left and then click on My Dashboard
  • Just under the Menu, you will see three lines as a sub menu button.
  • Click the sub-menu button and choose my account.
  • Here you can adjust your password.

Checking Your Profile in My.Scouting.org

  1. Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  2. Click on Menu at the top left and then click on My Dashboard
  3. Just under the Menu, you will see three lines as a sub menu button.
  4. Click the sub-menu button and choose my profile.
  5. Here you can make sure your membership number is correct and adjust info as needed.

Organization Security Manager

  • Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  • Open the Menu at the top left and choose your unit.
  • Then click on Organization Security Manager
  • Here you can click on the functional positions and add a registered member if you choose.

Adding Organization Details

  • Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  • Open the Menu at the top left and choose your unit.
  • Then click on Organization Details
  • Here you can add your organizations webpage, email, facebook page, etc.

Pulling a Training Report

  1. Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  2. Open the Menu at the top left and choose your unit.
  3. Then click on Training Manager.
  4. Two graphs appear. One for Trained Leaders and the other for YPT status.
  5. On the top right of each graph are two icons.  The first icon you can print the report. The second icon you can print graph details.
  6. On the Trained Leaders graph, click on the icon to print the Trained Leaders Report.
  7. On the YPT graph, click on the icon to print the YPT Aging Report.

Getting Started With Online Applications

Phase 1: Setting up main contact and accepting applications.

  1. Log-in to My.Scouting.org
  2. Open the Menu and click on  Legacy Web Tools
  3. Click on BeAScout
  4. Make the "Unit Pin Mode" to Unit instead of Council
  5. Change the Pin Status to Active
  6. Change the Apply Status to Active
  7. Set your primary and 2 alternates.
  8. On the bottom right you will see "Unit Pin Preview," you can adjust what the public sees (this box) by clicking on the boxes to the left.
  9. Click on the save button to save.
  10. Close out of the tab that BeAScout was on to return to My.Scouting.org

Phase 2: Setting up your unit for online applications.

  1. Click on the Menu and choose Organization Manager
  2. On the right side of your screen you will see two tabs, "Details" and "Settings"
  3. Click on settings.
  4. Adjust your options for Credit Card vs Cash.  Remember, if you choose cash, you must turn in the money into the office and bring the application.  Recommend Credit Card Only for ease of use.
  5. If you would like parents to receive a welcome email after they sign up, make sure opt into the email section.
  6. After all your setting are good, click on the Commit button.

Phase 3: Sending Out

Invitations

  1. Click on the Menu and choose Ivitation Manager
  2. Here you can send out invitations to new recruits which will allow them to fill out the application on their smart phone or on a computer.
  3. On the top right, if you click "URL" your unit has its own QR code and link to send people to the unit application.

Phase 4: Accepting Applications

  1. Click on the Menu and choose Application Manager
  2. Here you will find applications that need approved. Do not approve them until you have payment if you choose cash/check or until you know they are officially joining.  Once approved they will be charged.
  3. Adult applications will soon be available in which the Chartered Organization Representative (CR) will need to approve the application.
